Do you want to know how to use these useful inventions of technology? Then Valley Sunset District Business and Professional Women invite you to attend our

WOMEN AND TECHNOLOGY Conference on Saturday, January 27th, at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City. The Conference will be informational and hands-on. Our speakers will give presentations and answer questions and you will have an opportunity for some hands-on experiences with notebook computers and other forms of technology. Experts in the field have been lined up to share their knowledge.

Kicking off the conference will be MAKE IT WORK...the neighborhood Computer SUPPORT company. Make It Work can help you with all your technology needs at home, office, car and anywhere else. THEY WILL MAKE IT WORK

You are using your computer...HELP!!! You can't find what you are looking for. Karl Kasca of Kassa & Associates has the answer for you. In his presentation is "How to Find Virtually Anything on the Internet"; Mr. Kassa will show you the actual rips, tricks, and techniques for finding virtually anything on the internet. You will learn powerful internet search techniques, as well as specific web sites and resources that will turn you into an "information dynamo". Free online information resources will be emphasized. You will also learn how to tap into gold mines of data on the Invisible/Deep Hidden web.

Verdugo Hills members Anne Marie Johnson and Tori Poppenheimer, our District "tech" experts, will also participate. Anne Marie will demonstrate how to use BPW USA's website. Via the internet, BPW information can be obtained and all the information forms can be completed online. Tori will show how to use your Digital Camera, put the pictures on the computer, and print them.

Our special luncheon speaker will be EIizabeth Jones, Project Manager RS27 Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, who share her experiences in the world of rockets and engineering.

The afternoon session will be devoted to BPW business, with an important vote on a change in the Valley Sunset District by-laws. (See the proposed changes in this issue.)

This is a must conference for all of our members and friends. Some other "tech" surprises are on the agenda, so be sure to make a reservation (Link to form).

This conference will be helpful to everyone. MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
